Workshop Itinerary
What to Expect
During this vacation workshop, you experience 15+ hours of live, interactive facilitation within a small group. Kristen (not staff) personally helps you see exactly what pattern you have that’s causing your anxiety (it’s different for everyone), dissects why current proven methods can actually make your anxiety worst, then offers a clear, practical solution on what to do instead.
The content is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. You feel highly engaged throughout the weekend.
This vacation workshop gives you the understanding and tools to resolve your anxiety or other emotional issues for good, and if that is not the case, you don’t leave clear and able to make that happen, you get your tuition refunded.
Friday:
4pm – 7pm: Intro Session
* No hiking during this session.
Saturday and Sunday (note there is an optional, all inclusive fee to add yoga, food and lodging to your workshop. After registration we’ll send you a prompt to sign up for these should you desire):
11am – 1pm: Morning facilitated session
1pm – 1:45pm: Lunch at the hotel, separate charge
1:45pm – 5:45pm: Afternoon facilitated session, which includes a 2-3 hour gentle to moderate hike
Logistics
Fly to Salt Lake. The workshop is based at the Goldner Hirsch hotel in Deer Valley, Utah. It’s not mandatory to stay there, but it sure is nice. Separate extra charges for meals/yoga/spa offerings and/or lodging will be provided after you sign up here for the workshop.
Yes, consider getting a rental car, although uber or airport to Deer Valley shuttles are also great options.
Day 1
Intro Session: 4pm – 7pm.
* No hiking during this session.
You’ll have submitted reasons for attending and what you hope to get out of the workshop in advance. Thus, after a brief intro and meet and greet, we dive right in. By the end of the evening, you have a clear understanding of what your relationship is with your own mind and also with fear. It’s likely quite different from what you assumed. Prepare to be stunned by the depth of your learning, how it applies to your life, and immediately addresses your reason for attending.
Day 2
Morning Session: 11am – 1pm
Lunch Break: 1pm – 1:45pm at the house, included with tuition.
Afternoon Session: 1:45pm – 5:45pm, including a 1–2-hour moderate hike.
What we explore next, is based on your personal requests. This session is very targeted toward resolving exactly what you and others came to resolve. By the end of the second day, you’re crystal clear on any stuck places, and what needs to happen next in order for you to get unstuck. The 1–2 hour moderate hike helps you physically integrate what you’re learning.
Day 3
Morning Session: 11am – 1pm.
Armed with new awareness, we spend our final day learning and implementing Kristen’s 4-step Art of Fear Method in real life scenarios. (Hint: her 4 steps are the exact opposite of anything you’ve ever heard about or tried before, and you’re going to really like it!)
This is a comfortable experience and you’re not asked to do or share anything besides go for a moderate hike and interact in normal ways with Kristen and the others. We explore how to use your new practice to also enhance your life, career, relationships or performance.
Lunch Break: 1pm – 1:45pm at the house, included with tuition
Afternoon Session: 1:45pm – 5:45pm, including a 1-2 hour moderate hike.

I can’t afford this workshop. Do you offer scholarships?
Yes, we want to make this workshop available to everyone. If you can’t afford it, simply write us an email and tell us what’s going on such that you can’t afford full tuition, what you can afford instead, and if there’s still room in the workshop we help supplement your tuition with a partial scholarship.
Do you allow children to attend the workshop?
Children ages 13 and up are welcome to attend, but only if they pay for some of the workshop themselves (even if they only contribute $5 toward their tuition). This way it’s clear they want to be there, for their own reasons.
Should I bring my friend or family member along, or will that be awkward for us?
If your friend or family member struggles with an emotional issue, yes absolutely.
If they don’t struggle, they’re also welcomed to attend as support for you.
Note: You do feel comfortable doing this together, as there’s no cross talk. Everyone stays in their own lane and has a personal experience that can be as private or as shared (maybe during the breaks) as you’d like.
I want to sign up and pay for a friend or family member. Is that ok?
Yes, with one condition. Kristen will not work with anyone who is not, on some level, financially invested in this process themselves.
This means, if you are paying for someone to work with her, they must cover some of the tuition, even if it’s just $5 or a trade with you of some sort. If they say no, that’s a sign that they’re not ready to address their problem, and you shouldn’t waste your money.
This is not something Kristen can enforce however, so it is up to you to enforce it on your own.
What’s the cancellation policy?
If you aren’t happy for any reason, let us know. At that time, we:
1. First confirm that you attended the workshop in full and have practiced the methods you learned afterwards..
2. To give you the best chance for success, we next offer support to help troubleshoot why they might not be working for you, to better get you on the right path.
3. From there, if the practice, now being done properly, still doesn’t work for you, then a refund is issued.
